I picked up a pair of these units as I wanted to have a non -wifi connection to my home office computer on the other side of my house for stability reasons. I tested them by setting them both up in the same room on the same circuit. The setup was easy for me using them wired in. I didn’t test the wireless functionality as I didn’t need it. Once setup, my speeds were drastically lower than they were on my wifi connection. We get around 250/300 mbps download on our wifi connection. With these hooked up over Ethernet cables, our download speed dropped to less than 50mbps In addition to this, I had to reset my computer often to reenable the Ethernet connection. This would maybe be a good product if you had very modern wiring or if your wifi strength was really poor and you used them as range extenders. As Ethernet adapters, I found them pretty much useless for what I needed.

Purchased to improve a dodgy wifi connection by using an Ethernet cable instead. It was very simple to set up but I haven't noticed a difference in the stability of my wifi and I can't actually tell whether my laptop is using the ethernet connection or still using wifi! One big problem I had was with the plug. There is only 1 twin vertical plug near my router which the TP-Link Powerline needs to connect to, but the chunky design of its built-in plug meant the two devices wouldn't fit and I had to use an extension cable (not recommended).

I am using tp-link 8 port gigabit smart poe switch for my home network and it works really great. the switch is easy to use and is backed by a solid three year warranty and lifetime technical support. the switch has both standard and smart functions and the smart functions can be configured through the tether app. the switch is a great solution for medium sized homes and small offices. it works perfectly with ip cameras and i have had no issues with my ip cameras getting disconnected.
