What happened to Patagonia and the black hole line? I have the older style duffels and MLC and loved them - they’re still going of constant abuse. I wanted to add a backpack to my options so bought this latest version and I was surprised out how cheap this pack felt - I even checked to see if I somehow got a counterfeit. Nope! Patagonia is just a pay for the name brand now it seems.

It's a good size for a day bag/work bag. Can handle a 16" laptop and has room for other items. Quality is excellent, and it is comfortable to wear. The luggage handle in the back (to allow it to slide onto a suitcase) is great.

Purchased as gift for my 26-year old son to complement Patagonia Black Hole 40L and 70L duffels he already owns, so he's well equipped for short- and long-term travel for years to come. All are versatile, well made, durable, and functional. Noble Gray color is distinctive, but subtle, which he prefers. He likes the deep water bottle side pockets on this 25L pack, but notes that some full bottles slide out easily when pack is angled downward. A pull-string closure or compression strap or Velcro strip on the pockets might solve the problem. Patagonia clothing and gear are pricey but you get what you pay for and their attributes justify their cost over time.
