Hip belt hinges are way too stiff Very hard to put on heavy pack with belt behind your back

At first glance this seems like an obvious contender for one of the best backpacking bags, When fit in store with weight it’s very comfortable and super feature dense; however, when loaded with real weight and gear, the hip belt has ZERO padding in between the frame and the mesh touching your hips/lower back. Meaning the frame will dig in hard during your long, heavy hikes. Stay away from this bag at all costs. It is an extreme design flaw.

Pack has been great so far 40-45 lbs been my max weight so not 100% sure how it handles heavier long term . Hiking partner had 60 in it for a short in and out on Whitney trail ( 4 miles to Outpost camp and back) and had no complaints. Transferred the load well to my hips and has plenty of compartments and spots for more than I needed.

I have been a huge Osprey fan for a while and always needed a backpacking pack. I finally got to try it on and the back suspension system is very comfy and did great at not putting pressure on my back yet still staying secure. Even if you don't buy it you gotta try it.

I really like how big interior is. It's quite comfortable. The only disappointment is that my S25 Ultra phone doesn't fit in the hip belt pockets, do I can't pull it out quickly for photos; it's pretty frustrating. The pocket is big enough to hold the phone, but because the belt 'melds' for shapes to your form, there is a curve or bend. Otherwise, I really like the pack and would get it again without hesitation.
