Fantastic bit of kit that is not far behind a petrol powered one, night and day difference between this and my crappy 320w qualcast strimmer.... and the brush cutter tri-blade is great for heavy bramble etc. Even the plastic cord for the strimmer is the higher grade type and was preloaded :)

One day I'll get round to properly landscaping my garden. In the meantime this brush cutter makes light work every couple of months in chopping out the brambles and other vegetation that will insist on springing up. Seems sturdy enough, even when you catch something solid, but ear defenders are a good idea. Will cut through inch thick woody stalks if you go at it gently. Not used the swappable strimmer just the metal cutter blade.

Bought this cleared a mixed patch of overgrown brambles and bushes, that is good ! (10' square) But it stopped with much arcing/sparking from one side, being an Electrician and Electronic Technician, and an impatient bent it was obvious ! I was a carbon brush problem (very easy to disassemble). It look that as if when shipped across some salt water had penetrated the housing. This resulted in rust in "both" the (non brass! But brass coated) brush housing, jamming both carbon brushes (a consumable item), eg. bad contact to motor commutator segments. After carefull cleaning, derusting, all good! (30-45min) with min loss of carbon with a fibreglass pencil. Please Note: This may affect this batch linked to a particular ship export

Overall good product, however 20 min max use before you have to take a break as the machine vibrates a lot causing white finger. The strap supplied is not very good I'd recommend a harness and the machine is a little heavy for prolong use . The ups are good cutting ability and easy to assemble.
