This jigsaw is incredible ! I have been making cabinets and woodworking for 35 or 36 years now so I have used and owned a lot of jigsaws, but I have never used a jigsaw like this. This saw is amazing. It is super comfortable and is very fast. The strobe lights are really trick and the blade guide system really works good. The first time I scrolled with this saw was in 1" red oak and I could not believe how this saw worked. It was so easy and it stayed right on the line. Everyone should experience using a Carvex jigsaw once in there life !! I thought the Mafell jigsaw was the best, but this Festool is way better !! The accessory kit for this saw is money well spent, and the blades seem to last a long time, I haven't dulled one yet in 3 months. If you buy this jigsaw you will not be disappointed. This is by far the best jigsaw on the market.

This is a great saw and the strobe light gives the appearance of freezing the blade, so you can see exactly where the metal is touching the wood. You can cut a tight turn and not waiver off course at all. "No more bandsaws for me," is how one of my shop mates expressed it after two Carvex units arrived in our shop. It's sort of funny that the advanced technology has now come so far that it is bringing the woodworker back in touch with what he is doing--a problem i suspect tradesmen in non technologically obsessed eras didn't fret too much about. If you want the best electronic tool for the job, this is it precisely because it turns a machine into a real tool, a precision one at that.
