Great tool, does what its supposed to do Break things! I have a large landscaping project going on and went back-n-forth whether I should get the 42lb jack hammer or the heavier 75lb unit, I am so glad I got the 42lb it does everything I need it to and probably more? It came with a very sturdy and handy case along with the pointed bit I also got a few of the other bits (shovel, tamper, & chisel) all have done exactly as advertised and I am not beat-up after using it al day (sore but not beat to a pulp). I have rented the 75lb unit and after 1/2 day of use you feel like you have been busting broncos, not so much after a days use of this unit. Could have bought the no-name brand but in the long run I thought Makita would be the wiser decision, will probably pass this on to my son, great quality build, very sturdy handle and cord attachment, no complaints.

Have used it extensively for a home improvement project. Excavating under the house to make more living space. Very versatile and powerful enough for the task at hand. In some ways better than the 70 lb. model because it is easier to move around and thus less fatiguing. Amazing product and I highly recommend it.

It did everything it was supposed to. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because five stars is for when something does something out of this world and/or unexpected.
