the Screwfix initial description say it does not contain batteries or charger , correct . It infers it contains drills and chisels , it doesn't. That said it is very effective for its size .but I would recommend that 5.0Ah batteries are used as 3.0Ah batteries are quickly needing recharging when used as a chisel. ..

The drill is spot on , good weight to it aswell . 12mm holes in flagstones not a problem . Use a good battery

Doing a big job myself (as tradesman let me down). I needed walls drilled though and although my corded sds drill was fine this is up ladders ( cctv system) and i couldnt be bothered with extension leads dangling..and as project muggins was saving money.... This unit seemed to offer the most impact force for my buck. Unreviewed but other makita machines rated highly and i have all the batteries. Look its a nice machine and i dont regret buying it- but no way does it have the grunt of my corded machine. Putting a new 25mm bit through a gable end it slowed down to almost stopping. Im not used to making pilot holes. I thought it would stall and not the impact force of my corded one either. Its quicker and easier than dragging a lead around but the loss of the cord does drop its power. Say a 10mm bit i wouldnt notice but my other machine could put a big 600mm long 20mm bit through anything with no hint of slowing. Sorry makita close but no cigar.
