Philip B Peppermint & Avocado Volumizing & Clarifying 60 ml

I got this product in travel size and immediately fell in love with it. The price is a bit crazy imho but I managed to get my hands on the 9xx ml (it's not 1000 ml but slightly less) which costs slightly less per 100 ml compared to the 237(?) ml one. A little goes a long way and it leaves my hair feeling clean and my scalp feeling fresh. I have itchy scalp and this shampoo has helped with that. I have very fine, wavy and colored hair. I typically use a mask or conditioner after (i use brands like L'oreal professionel, Kerastase, Goldwell, Paul Mitchell).

I got this from a set. I like the volumizing effect of the shampoo, but it is just a little too invigorating to use with the high concentration of peppermint oil. After shampooing, my whole face would be covered in the cooling peppermint sensation from this and it is just too much.

I first tried this shampoo nearly 20 years ago when it was recommended by a beauty rep. I have fine, straight hair and was looking for something to add a bit of bounce and shine. Combined with Phillip B. Rejuvenating Oil, this shampoo does just that for my hair. I love the shine but the best part is the flexibility and "swing" my hair has after using the two products. I found large bottles of it on an auction site and bought six of them because I heard this particular formulation was being discontinued. It will be hard to find one this good, but I will be looking. His products are not inexpensive I have found them to be worth the money.

I bought this product (£19!!) hoping that it would make my hair look shiny and healthy, and hopefully it would also help me keep it clean for longer. Unfortunately it did not do any of these. My hair looked less shiny than with other products (Aveda shampoo for example) and it did leave my ends even drier than before. I would definitely not re-purchase, I am actually hoping to swap what I have left in the bottle...

The peppermint is very refreshing for morning or everytime that I have a headache. It really takes out the stress out of daily life when I wash my hair with this shampoo and give myself little bit head massage along with it. However, other than that I don't see any other benefits coming along with it.
