I've been using this drive in my home NAS for the last couple of months and so far it has been fast and reliable. I got this from the outlet of Verkkokauppa and it has proven to be extremely good value for the price. It came well packaged and the shipping was expedite.

I'm sticking with these Ironwolf Pro drives not only for NAS use but for system storage drives too. Had too many standard Seagate Barracudas fail. Had 4 Western Digital WD30EFRX NAS drives fail too. All replaced with Seagate Ironwolf Pro drives. They seem more reliable, and higher read/write rates too. Quiet drives, CMR type, no issues.

I bought two HDD for my NAS. When fitting them one would not go in. When inspecting it the pins were damaged. Now I could have damaged it when fitting but one went straight in and one did not. The hdd came bubble wrapped but not in boxes. When I emailed scan they said “As you've reported the damage after installing the goods, we wouldn't be able to assist with a replacement. ” Now luckily I got in contact with Seagate and they swapped out the hdd free of charge but a shame scan were less helpful. Moto - check products very carefully before fitting.

Drive was looking good, but it died 3 months after the first installation. The warranty on it is good (3 years), but it's a pain to exchange. Wouldn't recommend Seagate after this...
