Over the years, I have bought many WD and Seagate drives. This is the highest proportion of disks that have failed in my Synology NAS. My WD lasted 2-4 years. They arrived well-packed and in excellent boxes. Sadly my NAS failed, and it took time to get a new one by then, I was past my automatic return date. Now I have a hassle. I don't know if it is a delivery from the USA problem or if the disks were faulty.

I've had two of these in the last year - my youngest drives, and have already both failed. Terrible product. First two drives in 14 years of being a filmmaker that have failed on me. My data loss technician told me seagate is what keeps him in business. Their warranty claiming process is also convoluted, expensive and impersonal.
