It is fast and extremely reliable. The text is crystal clear on the labels. Labels are a bit expensive but worth it. The but. I am a Linux user and the label software, P-touch Editor, are only for Windows and Mac. Mac is close to Linux, could you pleas make it avaible for Linux?

QL-820NWB is a fast and versatile printer. It is an ideal printer for any small label jobs. The main drawback is the lack of video-base illustration on its usage and the accompany manual is not user friendly. It took me a couple of weeks to learn to use the accompany software to drive the printer. It is like a wild horse, once you master it, it will serve you well. I thought that it had a built-in rechargeable battery. I needed to spend more money to get the battery which made the gadget bulkier and heavier.

When working it is fine. Getting it to work after not using for some days is fraught with tweaking settings and generally we have no idea what does make it "go" again. Customer support is horrible with people who seem like they were taken off the street earlier that day...no familiarity with specific products. We then have to escalate, are promised a call back in 24 hours, which turns into 3-5 days. By then we got the machine going again. We do NOT recommend buying a Brother label maker. Very tweaking and temperamental device.
