I have the original opinel knife for hiking and love it, therefore why I purchased this one for car camping/4wding. However, after only one use, I struggle to open and close the blade, it is incredibly stiff. Super sharp blade, just very difficult to open/close.

I am a fan of Opinel knives. I use them for whittling wood. I reshape the blade to suit carving. Top quality steel that keeps it’s edge even when carving mulga - which is very hard wood. I also have a slim stainless Opinel which is a pleasure to use !!
