This little device is such a great idea and works great only downside is if you have a cover on the bottom of your Mac book pro it won’t sit in properly ... I’ve had to either take off the bottom cover or cut out around it ... it’s a bit of a pain but the product does work great KB

I am actually giving this five star review not becuase of this product but becuase of Satechi's excellent customer service. I prefer the look of this item as opposed ot the dongles, but found that there were issues with disconnecting and even making connections with the HDMI port. My girlfriend had the dongle from Satechi and whenever we used that there were no problems. It worked withe the projector every time. I had already had this item for seven months and figured if I wanted the same model that my gorlfriend has I would have to purchase a new one, but I tiook a chance and wrote to Satechi and they were extemely helpful. They informed me that the product comes with a year warranty and if I wasn't satisfied they would replace the item witht the dongle version. It arrived within days (even earlier than they had estimted) and works prefectly. I couldn't be happier with this company.

Didn't fit flush with macbook pro. Often had connectivity issues. Put a lot of strain on ports due to not fitting flush. Stopped working completely after one year.

I wanted to like this hub but I was disappointed because the color of the finish was advertised as "Space Gray". It was not a good color match to the MacBook Pro. The hub was noticeably greener in color and to me, details matter. The ports all worked as advertised. It does what it says it should do but I ended up returning it due to the poor match in color to my Apple product..

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It has ruined my laptop, I've had it for 3 months and a few weeks ago it started being finicky, it wouldn't recognize that I had things plugged in, thats when I should have known not to continue use but I just thought it wasn't plugged in properly. Yesterday I went to turn on my laptop and the entire screen was damaged, it had lines running through it and was flickering on and off. I tried to return it but its past the warranty. I will be calling amazon and demanding a refund. As well as Satechi company.
