Asics Gt-2160 - Black - 39

Great looking and cushioning with good fit and obviously breathable. My problem is I thought I was buying a shoe, I bought in effect a sandal. I obviously didn’t realise this but can’t wear it outside in my environment as rain and dirt aren’t gonna work with an open shoe/sandal. My fault as should have read the description, I just loved the look of shoe and didn’t expect a sandal.

The shoes are a return to sanity before everyone decided to copy another and make soles 4+ inches thick. Sure we all want comfort and these shoes have plenty. They are a bit heavier than newer models but if I’m training for a race I prefer the heavier shoe. The best part is that the sole won’t wear out in a month of hard road use. Newer models soles are thin and can’t take the beating from a heavy runner. At 90 kg I’m hard on soles. This models solves that problem. Thanks for brining this shoe concept back from the dead.

While finding the right size was a challenge, once I did, mmmmm! Great shoes! And, Asics was helpful and easy, navigating all the ordering and returning. I'm very happy with these shoes :)

The GT 2160 is a supportive and cushioned shoe for the elliptical and treadmill running. The medium is slightly wide on my narrow foot and not as suitable as the GT2000. ASICS PLEASE STOP MAKING UNISEX SIZES. Men’s and women’s feet are not the same structure. I’ve successfully worn the GT2000 for years. Now they are too wide, causing foot strain. Please fix this.
