Great fan with excellent packaging and accessories on top of unmatched silence and airflow.

Used with the Noctua NH-U9S Slim CPU Cooler in a double fan configuration it works fine and as usual nice and quiet. Always find Noctua fans to work fine and are quiet although the heat dispersion can be had from cheaper fans but not the noise level in general.

They're not cheap but if you want quality, Noctua are they only way to go. Their PWM ICs (the chip inside the fan that controls it speed) are the best in the market. They give you the widest control (this fan for example can operate as low as 500RPM) and unlike other manufacturers do not emit switching noise. I found the sweet spot for airflow vs complete silence at idle to be around the 800-1000RPM range. This is in comparison to the their 120mm fans that provide the same characteristics at 600RPM. Performance at 2200 RPM is also great. I've bough 4 of these now over the last 5 years (for various application such as low profile heatsinks and PCI slot cooling) and only had to add oil to the bearing of one to stop it making a noise at low RPM. This was very easy to get access to, you just have to pop the fan off will a little pressure. The only downside is their colour scheme but If you're like me and prefer function over form, you can't get any better.
