Solid construction. It simply does the job! I wanted to eliminate a separate light stand I was using to hold a reflector in my small studio. I bought this to insert in my SuperClamp (which is attached to my light stand for rim light.) I then attached my grip head holding my reflector holder onto this and it's a perfect set-up for a small space!

This extension arm is rock solid and makes using the super clamp much easier. As versatile as the super clamp is, I was having trouble tightening the knobs on some of my umbrella mounts when they were attached directly to it; there just wasn't enough room to get everything locked down easily in the limited real estate. The extension arm solves this problem by providing a strong mounting point with plenty of room to attach and position speedlites and strobes. I can now have an upright stud with plenty of clearance even when the super clamp is attached to a vertical surface. I have also put a 6-pound strobe with an octabox on the super clamp/extension arm combo with no worries. In fact, I feel better about the safety of the strobe using this combo than I do about using it on a stand. As long as the thing the super clamp is attached to is strong and solid, this thing is going nowhere.

This item when used with a super clamp is great for attaching a light to an autopole. Or, any vertical pipe or a lightstand that fits the jaws of the SC. Join two of these to form a 90 and allow the clamp to grip a horizontal surface like a table top or piece of granite. The spigot is vertical to hold a head or monolight in either case. Photographers are constantly challenged to maximize the equipment at hand. This item is fexible and fills the gap. Just get a pair of these to add to your gear. Just one of those things that may save your sanity while looking for a place to hang that extra light. (or reflector)

I was looking for an extension to use in setting up a second reflector on my light stand and needed this Spigot to extend the reach in conjunction with my Justin Clamp. It works perfectively and is very study.
