The item I received is not a genuine HP part. Nowhere on the box does it even say HP, the fuser wasn't well packaged in the box so it moves around a lot. I used it anywhere but after a week it started making grinding noises. Fortunately is was within 30 days and we returned it. The white box in the attached picture is what I received, the brown box is a genuine HP part I bought to replace it.

Fuser arrived on time and in perfect condition. Installation was easy and new fuser solved my problem of toner not bonding to heavy card stock and envelopes.

DON'T BUY. This printer has the following cons: * Firmware is always out of date - locks up - cannot even get past the error message. * Updating firmware really requires a programmer's skills (not kidding). * Document feeder is crap - never had a page scan which was not crooked. * Document feeder jams all the time. * It's a VERY heavy machine. Takes 3 people to life it. * Supplies are VERY EXPENSIVE - that's how HP really makes their money. * Networking is VERY complicated - can't just scan from USB cable. I'm an Internet technologist. I'm not someone who doesn't have a clue. I absolute HATE this printer and have had many, many printers over the years. This one is, by far, the worst!

After reading the one-star review, I had to post this so that you could have a second opinion. I purchased this printer a year ago and it works like a champ. I have experienced zero problems with this machine and find it as easy to use as it was to setup. Perhaps there were issues when the 2009 review was posted, but this certainly has not been my experience.
