Creed Absolu Aventus, EdP 100ml

I have been using Creed Aventus for many years, and for a very long time it was my signature scent. Sometimes, though, I also felt like wearing something darker and somewhat more intense/spicier. Especially in winter. Aventus Absolu covers exactly that. To me, it is like a blend of Aventus and Dior Sauvage Elixir. I have always liked Dior Sauvage Elixir too, but it was never quite enough for me to buy a bottle of it. If you are looking for a masculine, somewhat darker and longer-lasting alternative to Aventus that you can also wear more easily in autumn/winter or when going out in the evening, then I can recommend this one to you. But do not expect monster sillage ;) PS: I have tested many dupes. Among others, Club de Nuit Precieux, Supremacy, and Montblanc Explorer Extreme. I liked the latter best, but none of them reaches the level of the original.

This was a gift for my sons birthday. He wears this almost daily and I felt the price for the size bottle was good.

Let's get the John Lewis experience out of the way, it is amazing as you know it. John Lewis is a brand that respect its customers. Now getting back to the perfume, what can I say, it blew me away when I fists spray it then it became a skin scent staring away. Couldn't believe my senses. I read reviews on Reddit about it, that it needs time to oxidise but I doubt that its performance will improve. I bought Coromandel a year ago and that perfume has an exceptional performance with at least 24 hours decent projection at a similar price. I will give it another couple of months and try it again. If it's the same I will put it for sale.
