Creed Original Vetiver tunnetaan erittäin puhtaana, raikkaana ja saippuaisena vetiver-tulkituksena, jossa on selvä luksuksen tuntu. Monet harrastajat pitävät sen vihreästä, kevyen mausteisesta luonteesta, joka muistuttaa laadukasta saippuaa tai hienostunutta suihkugeeliä. Siksi se sopii hyvin kevääseen ja kesään ja käy sekä miehille että naisille. Tuoksua kuvataan usein elegantiksi, aikuismaiseksi ja toimistoturvalliseksi ilman kovia tai savuisia vetiver-sävyjä. Samalla hinta on erittäin korkea, ja juuri siitä tulee paljon kritiikkiä: useat arviot ja parfymöörit mainitsevat, että kesto ja tuoksun leviäminen ovat vain keskitasoa, joskus vain muutaman tunnin selvästi havaittavissa iholla. Niche-tuoksuksi tässä hintaluokassa hinta–laatusuhde herättää siksi epäilyksiä. Osa käyttäjistä kokee sen myös lähinnä kalliina, saippuaisena raikkautena ilman suurta syvyyttä. Ostajan kannattaa pohtia tarkkaan, onko hienostunut, puhdas tyyli ja Creed-brändi hinnan arvoinen, vaikka suorituskyky on melko vaatimaton.

The opening consisted of citrus notes paired with some ginger giving a fresh crisp feeling. The vetiver emerges soon after, which contributes to freshness of the scent. A nice fleshy green vetiver is what I get from it, very inviting and appealing. The base dries down to the familiar ambergris notes and some musk. A very simplistic scent that does not shout out to others close by. It can be worn casually or at work. This is ideal for warmer weather, particularly spring and summer. It's a safe scent. This one gets compared to the infamous Mugler Cologne and I found to be a worthy substitution for that scent, it could be considered an upgrade. Nonetheless for both Mugler Cologne and Original Vetiver, one cannot go wrong with either.

This is talked about as a happy friendly vetiver. A expensive Mugler cologne. Id say it does smell like the Mugler, but it has more vetiver. The Mugler is a citrus clean soapy flowers. This is that with a vetiver backdrop. I smell the vetiver similar to the Guerlain in the background. Ultimately this is a standard fare, soapy clean and green fragrance. I found longevity decent and projection a bit below average. This was from an authorized spray sample. I could see getting this someday, but I was hoping for a little more Creed basenote magic that I did not get. Even though this is a low priced Creed, I'm still docking it for being expensive. Presentation is quite nice. The gradient green on those Victorian looking bottles. Pretty nice. Neutral. This reminds me as well of the Elle Saab Vetiver, for what it is worth. I think I liked that one a bit more, even if they costed the same.

It took wearing this a few times to understand it, but now that I have I'm seriously considering making it my next Creed on the shelf. I picked up Guerlain Vetiver a few weeks ago and it's been in my rotation since. It kind of set my expectations for an earthy, direct, robust vegetal tone and that's not at all what comes with Original Vetiver. Now that I've let the fresh cut, vibrant grassy accord have a chance, I love it. The floral notes and ginger have been blended gorgeously to contribute to a really solid overall effect. This scent immediately brings back sense memories of holidays from my childhood, and the soapiness from the iris in the dry down is clean and luxuriant. Thumbs up. I can't imagine it as a night time scent and it's uniquely suited to spring and summer, but your mileage may vary.

Added this scent to my collection of Creed Parfum Fragrance. Pricey but worth every penny. I love the fresh scent. Sprayed one on my wrist and one behind my right earlobe, thats enough to last the whole day. No need to re-touch. Always receive great compliments. I feel good when I smell good.
