Halston Z-14 on 1970-luvun klassinen miesten tuoksu, jossa on terävää sitrusta, vihreää sypressiä, puuta ja nahkaa. Monet arvostelijat kuvaavat sitä voimakkaaksi, hyvin maskuliiniseksi ja yllättävän pitkäkestoiseksi eau de cologneksi, noin 6–7 tunnin kestolla ja vahvalla hajuraidalla. Hinta–laatusuhdetta kehutaan usein, sillä kyseessä on erottuva ja persoonallinen tuoksu, joka voi yhä kerätä kehuja. Tyyli on kuitenkin selvästi vintage: terävä vihreä alku ja nahka voivat tuntua vanhanaikaisilta tai liian kovilta, etenkin jos on tottunut moderneihin, makeampiin tuoksuihin. Tuoksu toimii parhaiten viileämmissä säissä ja muodollisemmissa tai työtilanteissa, ei niinkään helteessä, urheilussa tai aivan lähietäisyydellä. Klassisia, rohkeita miestuoksuja arvostavalle tämä on silti kiinnostava ja edullinen vaihtoehto.

The only cologne I wear for over 40 years. It mixes with my body chemistry and gives a scent that has always gotten me compliments. My clothes smell fantastic too. I’ll hopefully wear Z-14 for another 40 years. Well, ok, another 20 years, I’m old. Lol

I love this fragrance. I always gravitate towards the amber and woods in perfumes and colognes. I was happy when my husband said he used to wear it all the time and loved it as well. So I had to purchase a bottle for him, and it brought back a lot of memories for the both of us! It is still a great fragrance for everyday, or special evenings.
