Mont Blanc Explorer Platinum on moderni, puinen-aromaattinen eau de parfum, jossa on selkeät orvokinlehden, salvian ja setripuun vivahteet. Monien mielestä se on siisti ja ammattimainen tuoksu, joka sopii hyvin toimistoon, virallisiin tapaamisiin ja arkikäyttöön. Suorituskykyä pidetään usein hyvänä tai keskimääräistä parempana, noin 6–8 tunnin kestolla, mikä riittää useimmille ostajille. Arvioissa toistuu kuitenkin, että tämä Platinum-versio saa vähemmän kehuja ja on vähemmän massoja miellyttävä kuin alkuperäinen Explorer. Osa käyttäjistä pitää tuoksua hieman yksinkertaisena ja ilman todellista “wow-tekijää” tai syvyyttä, ja jotkut eivät pidä kuivasta, puuterisesta tunnelmasta. Myös hinta–laatusuhdetta kritisoidaan ajoittain verrattuna muihin saman hintaluokan tuoksuihin. Montblanc Explorer really surprised me in a positive way. Of course, you quickly notice which well-known fragrance it is inspired by, and the resemblance is definitely there. Nevertheless, it does not come across as a simple copy, but brings enough of its own accents to have an independent character. For me, it is above all the perfect companion for warm summer evenings. It smells fresh, masculine and elegant without being intrusive. Exactly the kind of fragrance that simply works in many situations. The performance also impressed me. Longevity and sillage were absolutely satisfactory for me, and especially in this price range, there is little to complain about. The price-performance ratio is really strong here - you get a versatile, high-quality fragrance at a fair price. Anyone looking for a modern, uncomplicated all-rounder that is reminiscent of a significantly more expensive classic while still following its own path should definitely give Montblanc Explorer a chance.

For me, Explorer leans towards a clean office fragrance. Not particularly loud or striking, but simply pleasant and fresh in the background. At first citrusy, later a bit woody and clean. It lasts quite well on me but could be a bit stronger. However, it suits every situation without being annoying, so it's definitely a recommendation.

I've switched from a handful of other big names to using this all the time. My girlfriend always says I smell really nice when I wear it, and getting a compliment from her is a miracle. I can't see myself going back to anything else any time soon!
