The Oud is very prominent in the dry down and the incense and rose shine. The performance is outstanding (10+ hours) and this fragrance shines throughout the entire time you have it on.

Rose, incense, oud, patchouli right at the start. Yup. I've smelled this mix many times before. Not a complaint, mind you. Something in this perfume creates a tobacco smell. I am going to guess the blend of maybe coriander, geranium, and Artemisia. I never got any citrus out of this as a singular note. Buried perhaps? I get a dark, smoked rum note. Musty musk. It all seems to grow "darker" as it wears on; becomes more masculine. A rose and oud layer returns again. If I were to purchase a By Kilian perfume this would probably be the one.

When a nice member gave me a sample, I was thrilled, as it was my first opportunity to try something from the famous house of By Kilian. Applied to the skin with the small stick, the tiniest amount is very strongly scented, likely thanks to the oud. The first impression is a fresh tea rose in full bloom, peppery and bold. Slowly, this combination transforms into a velvety feeling, almost like a young wine - there is so much depth and fullness. The aroma then changes only slightly, except that it becomes even deeper and more appetizing, without losing the bright rose in the foreground. I can imagine a lady wearing this exquisite perfume during a theater performance, and her neighbors would surely appreciate it. Or, dare to use the smallest amount at a job interview, just to show how classy one can be.
