Guerlain oud essential........I must have got a bad vial. It wasn't filled up and smelled like a fuel additive. I'll order another one just to see.

The tiny Oud Essentiel sample by Guerlain packed a big olfactory punch, catching me off guard. On the hunt for a fragrance I really love and can wear every day, I had never tried Oud. It was not love at first spritz, and I knew the strength and power of the fragrance would truly have to translate as "unisex," and not tip off the middle point between feminine and masculine, so I tested it for one or two days and completely fell in love with OE. It is not "feminine." It is strong. The scent is earthen and powerful, robust, not dainty, and made by my fav, Guerlain. Oud Essentiel won my heart. The sample is tiny, and the OE is a bit pricey, but it introduced me to Oud, and now I know I want this as a main ingredient in my new perfume. Pelagonium is a rare constituent of frankincense and I love any fragrance that smells like incense. It is heady, thick, woodsy, and down to earth, but a magnificent fragrance, I highly recommend it for women who are confident enough to pull it off. Enjoy!
