Not baby powder, but powdery in a soft comforting way, sharing aspects with Poudre Desir and L'Heure de Nuit. LHdN dries down much nicer in it's benzoin resin velvet, but the onset is almost grape koolaid and frankly $600 is too much for a bottle of scent no matter what it smells like. Here, Esprit d'Oscar manages to avoid smelling like a sugared drink and also be inexpensive as hell. It's a lovely, smooth, violet concoction that is both elegant and comfortable. I personally really hate powdery perfumes, but I really like this and Poudre Desir a lot. They are more Cleavage than Changing table.

My sister has worn Oscar since the 1980s it is truly one of the great classic fragrances of all time try this if you haven’t it is such a beautiful scent and it’s truly very feminine and it is so much better than a lot of the newer things that are out thank you

Absolutely LOVE this fragrance. Very soft, yet has lingering scent for hours. Ladies please don’t pass on this perfume.

I was very surprised to read the review of the lady that rated this as horrible. This fragrance is very, very feminine, that lasts all day, and is a wonderful beautiful scent. I'm always being stopped to compliment me on how wonderful I smell. I have gifted quite a few and have bought about six bottles for myself... that's how great it is.
