Thierry Mugler Alien Mirage on hienostunut kesävariantti klassisesta Alien-tuoksusta. Se tarjoaa kevyen, tuoreen sitruuna- ja bergamottinavauksen trooppisilla kukkaisten nuottien kanssa, joilla on subtiilit hedelmäiset sävyt. Tämä tekee siitä ihanteellisen lämpimään säähän ja päivittäiseen käyttöön. Tuoksu on paljon vähemmän intensiivinen kuin alkuperäinen, mikä tekee siitä käytettävämmän herkille nenille. Suurin haittapuoli on lyhyempi kestävyys vain 4-5 tuntia. Lisäksi vähemmän tunnistettava Alien DNA pettää alkuperäisen tuoksun faneja. Rajoitettu saatavuus voi myös olla ongelma.

Sharp/metallic but also clean and powdery, Mirage must be what the laundromat on the Starship Enterprise smells like. I was initially drawn to the beautiful bottle and a steep discount on the Mugler site (alas, it seems this is now discontinued), but the scent is just as captivating. It's one of my most-worn fragrances. Quite tenacious, lasting on clothes until they are washed. On skin, it lasts most of the day. The sillage is understated.

I couldn't agree more with Varanis Ridari's review, but I will go neutral, as this really doesn't smell bad. The opening is very nice (probably the juniper) but the rest is a bit of a slog. If nondescript sweetness is your thing, this is serviceable, but you're really better off with any number of similar fragrances, starting with Invictus, which is much more nuanced. Performance for me is good. In fact, any stronger and I would go thumbs down, as the sweetness is a bit unrelenting. Sillage is strong for the first few hours and average for the life of fragrance; four to six sprays lasts 8+ hours on hair and clothes. I love the original Alien Man and enjoy Alien Man Fusion's quirks, so I bought Mirage blindly for under $30 to complete the trifecta. I don't regret it, but it's easily my least favorite of the three.
