It’s dated old dusting powder scent. The old part means musty dated- like what a senior living in the age of perfume making would wear. Let’s move one. They can do better or don’t bother. It attacks our sense of taste.

I have only worn this scent for over 30yrs. I used to be able to purchase a body wash and bath powder. I was very sad when I could no longer find it. It was amazing to take a shower w/ the scent of First, then powder myself up, go to bed. My sheets always smell so wonderful and fresh. I have 4 grown children, they always know when I'm around. To them the scent of "First" is Mom! Still wish I could find the Bodywash Powder. Thanks for letting me share. Annie

Great perfume, it is extremely sad that Van Clef & Arpel seem to have given up making it. The best perfume I ever smelt, so sad.

What an elegant perfume. I have been wearing First since 1979. I have problems with my skin as perfumes change and become revolting. This does not happen with Furst. It is amazing. I have tried many. Spent a fortune over the years and have come to the conclusion that First is the only perfume for me. Many have commented and asked. It is my only perfume to wear.
