Even without fan, motor is not quiet. Try before you buy. Bought one today. What a jib, you’ve been warned.

After researching fan reviews decided on this one. A fabulous product, quiet with good airflow very useful in our large family room/ kitchen area.

Very quiet on the low setting, but a little too noisy for sleeping on the mid setting. Would have preferred a remote (I may have purchased the wrong model), but otherwise good performer. Fan cover was tricky to separate for assembly, but assembled easier.
