Not a new drive from the WD Store as expected but was previously used. The PC hangs on boot if the WD 4T External drive had been previously used with a password & the password was deleted. This is a common problem with this drive. I purchased this new drive to free up space on Drive C. The only way to fix this problem is to reformat the new drive, which I can not do without another blank drive to transfer my files to. So disappointing.

The drive itself is perfectly fine and works as expected. I took away 1 star because the backup software is not so great and that might matter to some people. I also couldn't figure out how it was storing the data because it filled up the entire drive very quickly so I had to drastically reduce what I was choosing to backup. It said it was incremental but it was not clear to me where the drive space was going. Maybe it will be clear to other people but I'm an IT professional and couldn't figure it out.
