They are comfy. I am able to use them without insoles. Unfortunately, but slipped and fell while walking through grass and sprained my ankle. So these need to be used on paved or very well maintained trails. Short walks less then like an hour are probably best. Good for indoor workouts too. I'll probably use these as bumming around shoes and get hiking boots.
