I'm going hiking in Italy next summer and needed a new pair of boots. The sales associate was very helpful. Asked questions and brought out 4 different bboots to try.

I thought I found the perfect hiking boots, but after 6 months they started to fall apart The souls started to separate from the boot. I do mostly light hiking on Florida trails.

The only thing good about these boots is that they look nice and are lightweight. I took them for a week expedition to the Dolomites, and I almost had to be airlifted off of a mountain because of these boots. They have no ability to hold your foot in place inside the boot. So, when you hike downhill, your foot slides forward putting all the pressure on your toes. It was one of the most painful things I've had to endure. By the 3rd day, I was almost unable to walk. They don't cinch higher around your foot when lacing, the footpad has no contour to the sole, and the toe box is clearly too big. Just a horrible design for anything more than a prance through a meadow.

After around 10 hikes / 70 miles (moderate scrambiling) holes formed at the toe cap and around the rubber border. Didn't end up holding up like other hiking shoes can. I returned for Keen's

Bought these to try a lighter weight boot than what I'm used to. I weighed them at 1 lb 12 oz, same as in their description. As expected, they were lighter and less sturdy than the heavier boots - no surprise. Also, I returned another pair of gortex boots (Asolo) that leaked. Experience on my first backpack trip with Moab Speed 2s, the boots stayed dry after 3 days in fair amount of snow. In very firm snow, they weren't as stable as the heavier boots but had fairly good traction. I appreciated the lighter weight on the trail except on snow patches or boulders. Only reason I didn't rate them a 5 was the stability they lacked compared to that of heavier boots. Otherwise, they performed as expected. I haven't had time to see how they hold up after multiple miles.
