I had high hopes and I’m disappointed with the waterproof and durability with these boots. They are Comfortable and stable. Other than that, all cons. Walking through wet grass, after a while I can feel my boots becoming damp. This dampness sits and I can feel it in my socks. Additionally, briefly stepping through deep puddles, or having wetness on the top part of the boot will cause this. After 70 hours of use in forested areas, I have a piece of the bottom coming off. I don’t have much money and paid extra for goretex boots in hopes this would not be the case, but they are wet after work, and still damp in the morning when I put them on, mainly just from grass.

Wanted to try these for a while and really wanted to like them. And then I got them on sale, I'm starting to see why. I just got them and can already tell it's going to go through the sole seperation issue. There's random blotches of glue sticking out at almost every seem which just doesn't feel right even for cheap boots. Quality seem on par with any cheap box store boots at a quarter of the price to be honest. I'll have to break them in to tell. So far the comfort is, well, nothing to write home about. They honestly feel really stiff so far, even more than my steel toe work boots. I'll update my review as I keep using them, but so far, meh. I rather my old Scarpas by a long run. I was told these wouldn't last as long but would be lighter and more comfortable. But time will tell... Not really impressed so far to be honest.

Highly comfortable, great ankle support, no break-in period, and plenty of room in the toe box. Also great for my high arches. Worn on multi-day hikes and day hikes from the West Coast Trail to the high alpine the Rockies. Excellent boots! Note that the Euro sizing is a bit off. I’m always a 39 in Euro sizing but for some reason I’m size 40 2/3 (yes, that’s forty and two thirds) in these boots.

I've worn Solomon Quest's for many years. I have several pairs that I wore to the ground. I hike about 500 miles a year, so I'm typically replacing them every year and half to two years. I've loved them for their large toe box, ankle support, tread and waterproofing. I bought this pair in August of 2025. I haven't even gotten 6 months wear out of them and they're leaking water from the plastic toe top coming unglued on the right boot. The left boot squeaks and rattles like there's something loose in the sole. None of my boots have ever done this before. I'm returning. But seriously.... I've loved the fit and function of all my previous pairs, so I'm not sure whether I should order a new pair and hope they're not defective or go with something completely different. (I did try others before I bought this model again, but nothing else compares to the comfort this boot provides if you want a large toe box and good ankle support!)

I purchased these boots for myself for Christmas. I've been wearing them almost daily since then and I can tell you that they are very comfortable and warm on long hikes. I would percent recommend!!
