Great NIC...when it works. Recent purchased from multiple vendors is currently at a 30% success rate. Yes 2/3 of my recently purchased X250-DA2 NICs have been defective out of the box. Issues include high pitched ringing with connection drop outs and dead SFP+ ports. Not sure what is going on with Intel, normally they are very good quality. These NICs are clearly from different batches too (different PCB layouts even, clearly not made at the same time). Other than getting functional devices, these NICs are great. They work out of the box in Linux and ESXI and the Windows drivers are easy to find and install.

It is not compatible with my mainboard Gigabyte GA-Z87X-U5H. But it can function properly on the other Asus mainboard. I have to buy another Broadcom 10G card finally.
