The Intel card was instantly recognised and installed in a NAS server (Freenas 11.3U4) for home office use (long term telecommuting required...). The performance is top notch. No packet loss. In short, Intel controllers remain the reference. I'm taking 1 point off because the delivery was a bit slower than usual.

This is a solid low profile NIC which supports teaming, VLAN's and offloads network transactions from the CPU and it is recognised by Sophos XG Firewall (unlike the built in NIC on my ASRock Z370 Pro 4 Intel motherboard)

The card I received the first time wasn't what I originally ordered due to a 3rd party supplier problem, but ANYHDD (merchant) rectified the problem immediately and shipped the correct card out within 24 hours. Verified the replacement was indeed the correct card. Having said that, Here's a quick review: I've been an Operations Engineer for a few years now and absolutely would not use any other NIC besides Intel cards period. Broadcom based stuff is decent, but if you're building a server or home computer, choose Intel. This card supports LACP (bonding both ports together) so that you can either have a failover connection in case one dies, or you can server 2x 1Gbit worth of traffic out. Has saved my ass a few times in a datacenter when one switch dies. While Intel cards are expensive, they are worth their weight in gold for features and reliability.
