Downloaded drivers from GitHub and followed the instructions, really impressed with the signal strength.

Did not extend as was needed - will not go through doors/ walls.

This device is great, according to my experience. I've used it for a while and it worls perfectly. I'd five it 5 starts, but please keep reading. If you're using windows 8.1 it IS for you BUT, and take this into account, if you're using Windows 10, AFTER the creators update from a couple of months ago, DON'T BUT IT, It won't work. I practically lost this device because after that Windows' update the drivers just don't work. And I can't find support for it anywhere. The TP-LINK website only offers drivers from 2013, so no help there.

it works as well as the smaller, cheaper belkin that I have, and it was half the price. As for going through walls or whatever, it's not that good.

it's ok. Didn't pick up many networks compared to the old unit I was using. Went back to using the old unit.
