Ginza.se – 16-Port 10/100/1000Mbps Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switch (DGS-1016S/E)

I bought this a while ago, not knowing if I was really going to need it, so it sat on a shelf for a while, but when I subsequently needed it, it worked straight out of the box and is easy to set up.

Purchased December 15th 2011 for $35 new on Amazon. It is now May 5th 2024 and the switch is still working flawlessly. When purchased I had 100mbps internet and now I have 1gb fiber. I've gone through probably 6 routers and 3 or 4 modems since then but the switch still serves my needs. I was just contemplating a new router and remembered this switch. I looked on my old orders to discover when it was purchased. After reading some more recent reviews where people are saying theirs failed fast I decided to share my experience. Maybe like many other things they don't make them like they used to.

It's nice to have all of the extra Ethernet channels.

feels premium. small footprint. easy to implement.

It's a network switch. It works perfect. Whole house is now hardwired for ethernet
