I upgraded to the latest firmware as soon as I got this unit. I was impressed with the features especially the VPN. I set that up and connected with my iPhone no prob! You also get a free account with Asus's DDNS service which was great. Unfortunately, the router kept wanting to change my username and/or password - I'd have to reset it which made we have to set the entire router up each time. I called Asus to get help and try suggested installing firmware again using rescue mode. I did that and router would not get out if rescue mode. The second tech support person I spoke with was extremely rude, somewhat combative, and argumentative. I have no clue why as I was polite as could be. Perhaps he was just a natural jerk or maybe he was having a bad day but his attitude was unacceptable and uncalled for. Left a bad taste in my mouth for Asus products. As long as you don't need to call tech support, this would be an awesome router!

Get a Netgear. We use them at work and they rarely fail. Worth the extra bucks. It'll save you money in the long run.

These are great if you just need to add more ports or for testing things, but don't use them for anything you'd consider mission critical.

Needed this added to Clear wireless box to get Vonage and works perfectly!

I havent had the trouble that a few of the other reviewers have had. Other than a few power outages in the building, the device has been constantly powered, and has never dropped a connection. Great switch at a great cost.
