Not very easy to set up. Changing IP addresses on your laptop or computer is not the ideal way to set up one of these devices.

To extend home wifi to a garage 30 m away. They are easy to install. Be careful with the support, which should be adjustable if possible. Does the job, I'm still waiting for an opinion on the speed.

This is a very good product from TP-LINK, a Chinese brand, but it works very well and is of good quality. It can withstand extreme temperatures from -30°C to 70°C. Especially for us living in French Polynesia with its sea air. The product still works just as well, and for how long! Considering the price and the fact that I've had it for 2 years, I use it as a repeater to cover an area of 500M². I am very satisfied

Good Points: Easy to install on the tv Ariel Improvement Points: A piece of kit to help feed the cable through holes in the wall.

Improvement Points: This is an older device and doesn’t support modern WiFi security standards so device roaming will be an issue if you manage to get it setup in the first place. It only supports TKIP instead of the more secure AES. Range at maximum power is pathetic, I was still able to pickup my internal Nest WiFi router where this supposed long range device gave out. I guess this is what happens when you go cheap, in the end I repurposed an old Asus router as a WiFi repeater in the garage and that is able to connect to the internal network at a decent speed and repeat the signal to the CCTV cameras this unit was supposed to serve. I am just hoping the winter temperatures don’t kill the repeater as its designed for internal use only and not for use in a cold garage which is why I purchased this TP-Link outdoor WiFi unit to begin with.
