-A 6 year old tablet performs 100x better than this device -Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied with this product and returned it... which requires a restocking fee. -I'd say avoid this product and look for other solutions like an Intel NUC... which actually works and has the desired features.

If you want to run Linux contact Zotac support and tell them you need the BIOS and image for Ubuntu. Make sure you follow the instruction to create the correct partition scheme to install the BIOS. Otherwise everything is very straight forward.

Got a RMA from Newegg. I hope I don't have to go through this a second time because the device has the potential to be just what I need. If this happens again I might as well just spend more money on an Intel NUC or something from Gigabyte.
