Donkey Kong Country Returns HD may not add much to the original versions, but it is nice to finally have on Switch. For one of the few remaining Switch games to come out from Nintendo, it’s still a damn good one.

Even though this is a rerelease of the same game. This game has so much replay value and is just as much of a challenge as when it came out for the wii. It's unforgiving at times but it rewarding and very fun. Absolutely worth the price tag with mirror mode, time mode and the bonus world. This is a classic game for new players and for those who replay the other donkey kong games regualrly.

I was hesitant to buy this game given its price point and I would caution others. It's fun since I didn't play it on the Wii U but for $60 it's not worth it. This game should be like $30-$40 tops. I would not recommend buying this game.

Throughout the life of the Switch we got the remake of Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and now at the end of the Switch we get Donkey Kong Country Returns a remake of a remake. I know that Nintendo is moving on to the Switch 2 but by charging full price is not worth it which is why I am not giving it a better rating cause it should be $39.99.
