Worst TomTom I’ve ever owned. Thought I’d upgrade from my tomtom start 25 to the Via 53- after an eight hour road test I’ve sent it back and decided I’ll stuck to the sat nav I already have. Wi-fi works fine so you always have the latest maps and updates but, the live traffic uses your phone data and signal to work and it doesn’t even divert you around traffic as led me to 45 minute hold up and also drained my iPhones battery very quickly. Sometimes it talks too much too and tells you useless information you don’t need to know like fallow the road round to the left when the road only goes that way anyway. Then at times it would be delayed in giving directions when your on top of the junction. There’s no lines dividing the lanes on motorways and as for the handsfree voice activation for calls, texts and other commands you have to shout at it to work and when I does finally work it’ll do the complete opposite to whatever your asking. COMPLETE RUBBISH!

covering postcodes pe,ln,de,ng,nn,le and cb weekly i cover some miles and this is a great upgrade from my tomtom 1. Linked to the phone it gives all road closures and alters your journey to suit which is great as it seems every area has roads closed daily which was getting frustrating. first day it diverted me ways i never knew and i got there in good time. its nice to have up to date visuals on route .

Excellent all round , apart from lane guidance which is ok but could be better as not all junctions covered. This replaced a Garmin which was also good but led to quite a few errors resulting in u-turns. Tom Tom screen was also better in the bright sunlight.
