Great camera, upgraded from an R and couldn't be happier. Perfect for stills and video.

The camera offers more than the original mk I. Canon have really thought about the placement of the buttons and corresponding functions. There are quite a few upgrades to the GUI which are helpful. I photograph a lot of wildlife and especially birds so the pre-continuous shooting is a huge bonus. However both the R mk i and R mk ii seem to experience worse digital noise than my Canon dslr cameras ever did at higher ISO. This can be adequately corrected in software to achieve good results. Don’t let this slight negative put you off the Canon R mk i and mk ii offer so much more, with the R mk ii delivering some outstanding photos. Harrison Cameras offer expert advice along with competitive prices for photographic equipment. The customer service I have received has been excellent. I would recommend Harrison Cameras.

I use this for food photography as it's light and easy to use but mainly for travel photography, as it is so flexible.

I purchased the R5 MK II Camera in November of 2025 and this has been a nice upgrade from the R6 MK II, but enjoying both of them. Fast, Sharp, Accurate, and a joy to use. I will keep this simple and just show you some basic photos that were shot with Canon L series lenses including the RF14-35 F4, RF24-105 F4, RF50 1.4, RF70-200 F4, and RF100-500 F4.5-7.1.

I enjoy using my Canon R5 Mark Ii; however, my biggest disappointment is the high iso noise levels are significantly higher than my 5D Mark IV and R1. After seeing the images produced by the R5 Mark II compared to my other 2 cameras, I believe 30 megapixels is the sweet spot. Most images from my R5 Mar II need to have noise reduction in Lightroom applied. Otherwise, the R5 Mark II is a great camera.
