I have very very camera bodies I will never part with. The F3, the FM2N, the FM3A, the Zf I just picked up... The D500 is first on that list. That was my first serious DSLR (upgrading from an old D40) and a caught a deal on the f mount 200-500mm f/5.6 and the DX 16-80mm f/2.8-4) and I can't say enough about that combo. A truly pro trinity. Add in the AF-P DX 10-20mm and the AF-S 135mm f/2 G, or spend a bit more on the best F-Mount lens Nikon ever made, the 105mm F1.4E ED..that a combo that ...

Nikon D500 is one of the best cameras I have used. I feel this camera has bridged the gap considerably between the full frame and crop sensor cameras in image quality (dynamic range, tonality, ISO performance and color reproduction). Like many, I've been struggling to find the "perfect" setup for wildlife. Granted I'm just a hobbyist and not worried about extra large prints. Also my standard for sharpness is probably lower than most people on the forum. I was more concerned with finding the right balance of image quality and portability. I think I've finally settled on the D500 and the Tamron 100-400mm. Zoom versus prime I started out using a D850 and the 500mm PF and I still love it. But the prime is less flexible. I ...

Reliable, Fast focus camera I used for weddings and events and everything else. However, I also used Olympus OMD2 and for a year; and a short time tried Nikon Z6 also. This camera is always my first choice. I end up trading my Olympus and z6 gears. My favorite and most used lens is Nikon 16-80 and Nikon 85 f1.8.It's fantastic for landscapes, cityscapes also.
