I bought this as an afterthought, mostly for the excellent Sony sensor that has long been a favorite of astrophotographers. I perma-mated with with the Samyang 135mm f/2 for deep sky, and it did so well, one afternoon I took it out with the DX 16-80mm f/2.8-4 and it performed well above my expectations. Not quite as quick as fast AF as the D500, but good enough for wildlife and birds. Flew under the radar...well worth a look if one finds a decent one with a low shutter count.

The Nikon D5600 is good for landscape photography. It's comfortable to use, and it has an impressive dynamic range to capture more detail in high-contrast scenes. You may have some difficulty reading its screen in bright sunlight. The camera itself is slightly bulky, and it doesn't have the most impressive build due to its plastic construction.

I bought this D5600 and used it twice or three times. A few months later, I used it again, and when the SD card was inserted into its slot, the screen displayed "No memory card inserted". Replace with a new SD card, it still displays "No memory card inserted". Contacted their service center, the service center said that the slot is damaged, if you want to repair, you need to pay $381. It seems that the socket is easily damaged, so are other components too?

Easy to use but A LOT of features. My advice...don't buy this a couple days before a trip...need some time to learn all the advanced features. Once you do the camera takes spectacular pics!! the bundle lenses are plenty for most shooting!
