This is a great camera with lovely resolution and sensor fab autofocus tracking and ibis. Dual sd catd slots would be a future evolution. And the one thing I have found could be improved is the speed at which the evf display reappears after closing the rear screen.

Just what I needed to simplify my image capture going forward. Image capture is always a mixture of recording size, optics quality and reach plus the operator’s eye for choice of image.

This camera has far exceeded my expectations. Having previously owned at a7R3, I had been expecting an improvement, obviously, but this camera is so much than just an upgrade. I have always been looking a for a lightweight camera with top quality optics and performance. Finally, this is the camera that has made that desire come true. Yes, there are some minor issues that would make this less appealing to some photographers, but given that I need a high quality lightweight camera for travel, walking and mountaineering, this camera ticks all the boxes. And the autofocus is outstanding, enabling pin sharp focus on wildlife when encountered on my walks in the mountains, I can't wait to use in on my trip to the Alps this summer. My only gripe, is that I cannot get the monitor to display brightly when reviewing in bright sunshine, despite using that setting in the menu. And I just wish Sony would produce an eye cup for the EV, just like they do for the a6000s.
