The Rancilio Silvia is everything I had expected. Built well and makes good espresso, with strong steaming. It doesn’t have features like P&ID temperature stability or adjustability, and is expensive for what it is. Why did I buy it? It is a strong basic machine that could be easily modded with a Gaggimate or Gaguino, if I someday desire more.

This is an amazing machine. Don't tell anyone. I have had mine--bought from Whole Latte--20 years. Not only so smooth and tasty, but reliable. No repairs. I keep it clean, decalcify regularly and it pays me back with amazing daily coffee(s).
