The DP400 is a very good table for $525, still in the juky clunky operation category but once stylus is in the groove it performs well, good speed accuracy and retrieval. Upgraded the cartridge to the Ortofon 2M Blue and it is a good match for this table. Good starter table provided your shopper has not seen, heard and felt a $5K table! I’m very please with this turntable, good price and great sound, simple setup, simple strraifght forward functionality with auto stop, a feature I really like to preserve the stylus. I replaced the stylus with a Mofi, which sounds even better. I’m very satisfied with Music Direct customer service.
