Excellent build quality. Most range cookers are built to a standard of fit, finish and ergonomics that is nowhere near that of normal ovens and hobs, which is ironic given the premium positioning and prices . Not so with Smeg; this range cooker has exactly the same high quality of door hinges, closures and tactile parts you’d find on modern ovens, with the range aesthetic and practicality.

Fantastic cooker, We had a similar smeg range for fourteen years in our old house which we sadly had to leave behind when we sold. We have been renovating so been without a proper oven for quite a while but now the kitchen is almost done we didn't hesitate in buying another Smeg dual fuel range. Absolutely love the Portofino. It is easy to use and looks lovely, really lovely quality. It does need an extra shelf in our opinion as we bake a lot but we easily sourced a genuine smeg shelf as a spare part online.
