We were happy to replace our existing Siemens fridge freezer (10 years old) in our open plan kitchen/living room for the latest model but never for one minute considered the noise from the new one would be more irritating and intrusive than the 10 year old model (this one has the Quiet Mark). All fridge-freezers make noises, and we expected a low pitch hum which we had with our old one. However, the new one emits a high pitch noise around 1.4kHz which comes on and off (not linked to door being open etc). We had it checked by the engineer and was told the fridge freezer is operating normally. Please can someone explain why the new version makes this noise? It seems to be a common issue as I've seen other reviews mention this for the other models! We are removing this fridge freezer as we cannot continue with it, it has been over 3 weeks and we cannot get used to this noise.

It's well proportioned for a small family or two person household. Functions very well, with excellenet and flexible storage plus the warnign buzzer when you've left the door open too long. Very easy to live with!

Ordered as a replacement for our 10 year old fridge freezer - decided to order same make and was not disappointed.Chatdesk advised on equivalent replacement and it arrived from ao.com a few days later. Installation very easy if following picture instructions and now up and running.Excellent product with redesigned drawer and shelf space which is a better layout that previous model.
