Brother DS-820W Mobile

I bought this because I have to keep receipts for my business. It is quick and easy to use. I had ried online capturing but Brothers scanner is the best

Since this scanner will not operate while plugged in if the battery is dead, lve looked for hours for a backup battery on-line... even on Brother site, and no one other than a site I assume is over seas has one. B&H photo still sells the darn scanner!

I purchased this scanner to scan legal documents. My flatbed will only scan letter size, and is way to bulky to remove from office. The Brothers scanner is very portable. Have not tried wireless

I lost the clip that holds the battery; contacted Brother and they could not fix or sell me a replacement. Also scanning was slow and not worth the trouble. Go with Epsen; a little more price but worth it.

This scanner works really well when you scan via the USB lead plugged into to your computer. It also works really well scanning to the SD card in the scanner. However, the wifi is not great, the wifi software is awkward. Because of the wifi hassle, we just use this scanner with the USB lead plugged into the computer. I would say if you really need wireless, get this one - but if you don't mind plugging it into your computer with the USB lead, you may as well save yourself money and get the no-wifi version, the DS-620.
