Works well, very efficient and so easy to use. I do believe that wastage could well be assigned to the past. Just need more containers.

Firstly, don't order this item, instead order the similar listing, costing you 60p more buy coming with x3 containers and x5 bags - which are eye wateringly expensive if purchased separately! It is a best ok - I don't know why you are not supposed to use this for freezing, but it greatly limits the usefulness of this product. Squeexing the air out and a few extra days life might be worth it for some, but if it isn't being used for long term storage then we are quite efficient with our fridge food and have less use here. The odd occasion I have used has been when we have experimented with a new recipe using a new and unusual ingredient which we might not use for some time again, then it has been useful to keep it fresher until the next weekend. However for an everyday vacuum sealer there are better options out there

Whilst I have no complaints about the function of the machine (it does what it says on the tin) it does not represent good value for money. The machine itself is expensive to buy and then the zipper bags and vacuum boxes are extortionate. From my point of view, it is cheaper just to buy food more regularly. It is particularly disappointing that you cannot use the zipper bags in the freezer as I thought this was where the machine would come into its own (breaking down large packs of meat into smaller portions). You can use the vacuum boxes for frozen vegetables (only after having pre-frozen them) but the cost of buying all the boxes and having a freezer big enough to store them makes that prohibitive. After having the machine sat on the worktop for over a month, I have only used it twice. That says it all. I think that simply planning meals and only buying what you will use is a much more cost effective way of reducing food waste.

This was my first vacuum sealer and I was excited to receive it, very easy to set up and simple directions, but was sorely disappointed with the price of required consumables. It looks stylish, a good design, good build quality and compact. There was only one box and five zip bags included which was a disappointment as I had expected more to be for the price of the product. On reading the instructions I noted that the bags can't be put in the freezer with no explanation as to why. When looking into cost of extra bags and boxes, the cost was expensive. Boxes would be my preference to save the faff of washing the bags out. For me, I won't be using this everyday, I'll stay with the traditional methods where I can freeze if necessary without the cost. Only reason I wouldn't recommend this food saver/sealer is the price of the bags, the boxes are not so pricey and you can freeze them, but I use bags the most 3 stars

It's a nice idea and looks well designed and made but overall I don't recommend it. 1. The storage containers and bags - and you will need to buy a lot of them - are ridiculously expensive. 2. It is awkward to use it with the bags. You have to press it down carefully or it doesn't work. 3. It's less useful than I hoped. It works best with cheese but you can't use it on soft cheese. You can't put the bags in the freezer. You can't use it on delicate food or it will crush. It hardly seems worth the effort just to extend fridge life by a couple of days. 4. It's large and will use up a lot of valuable kitchen real estate
